I am definitely one for my lotions and my potions and since
I’ve moved home I’ve taken over the bathroom cabinets despite my mum trying her
hardest to just give me a ‘section’. I have finally started to take my skin
seriously, drinking green tea and investing in my very own break- out- box. Otherwise
known as, BOB. This combination- skin’ed, big pore’ed, oily t-section gal could
no longer smother her face in expensive foundations and hope for the best. It
was time for change and since I’ve been trying every product under the Superdrug/
Boots/ Debenhams SUN, I thought I’d share my favourites. (Also, mum, if you
happen to be reading, perfect ideas for stocking fillers may I add).

Let’s begin with the holy grail who lives in BOB. A constant
flow of replacements. There are so many sheet masks around the shelves now,
whether they’re to protect your skin against pollution, against dry skin or
even just to brighten your (my) dull skin. But Garnier were one of the first
and will be one of the last to leave an impression. They have several versions,
but my favourite is either the sheet for dehydration which is perfect after a night
out of drinking or during the colder months or this normal to combination skin mask.
If I use the dehydration mask too often I find my skin overloads with oil and moisture
and does nothing but come up in mountains. But, this mask is perfect for once or
twice a week use.

If your skin is in dire need of replenished moisture
especially during cold weathers, this body mask is perfecttttt. It is ideal for
at home or if you’re travelling away somewhere for the night as it is packaged
in a tiny sized sachet. All is required is 5 minutes of non-greasy, non-oily application
of the mask to the entire body or dry areas and then rinse off in the shower or
enjoy a moisturising bath. And, it smells bloody good which I’d expect nothing
less from Sanctuary.

So, it sounds rather military and non- pampering for your
skin, but believe me this is such a staple piece inside BOB. The drug stores
have been going charcoal crazy, but once tried I would now never turn my head.
This face mask paste is amazing especially for my oily t-section, it removes
and unclogs pores aswell as reduce inflammation in spots as they arise. It is a
little robust to remove but I think any good charcoal extraction paste needs to
be otherwise it’s not doing a thorough job. I often use this before Garnier
Moisture Bomb sheet mask.

*Curtsies* Liz Earle, thank you for being born. Single- handily
saving my skin cells every day. This product is incredible. I had heard so many
good reviews about the product and when on promotion in Boots about a
year ago I thought I’d give it a whirl. And I am SO glad I did. The cleanser
comes with two cloths and a zipper bag to keep the products in. Not only does the
packaging look attractive it makes my skin feel so fresh and genuiNELY clean.
However, not only does it guarantee a quick reduction in inflammation, make up
removal process and cleansing any breakouts, it moisturises my skin and leaves
it feeling good to go without even needing extra face cream.

Okay, so it’s not skin, but it’s still definitely something
everyone should have in their bathroom cabinet. The hair care repair is nothing
less than a dream. My hair has never really been dead as such, but it’s certainly
gone through some tough heat damage especially after a night out or a week full
of events. The hask is rich in moisture and makes my hair feel so soft in minutes.
It isn’t something I’d use every day as my hair would soon become greasy and
heavy but it’s worth using every now and then to keep hair shiny and locked with
moisture.
The make- up guru's have yet again outdone themselves with a mini travel kit of skin care. The product includes moisturises, serums and eye care. And, guess what? They're amazing! The quality of these products are incredible, it's a shame they're not sold in larger sizes for every day use.
