2019, You're Late

Firstly… I hope you’ve all had a glorious Christmas and a very merry New Year. Alex and I spent our new year’s drunk in the queue of Oceana after he had just been sick in my mates sink. Think of that how you will. But it was one of the best new years yet (As well as last year). I’ve been a bit MIA (missing in action) and I’m fully aware. But it’s probably true that so far this year I’ve had the best highlights and the worst low points of my year so far. I’ve started my new job and it’s the best decision I’ve made since I graduated, I L O V E  IT and everybody has been nothing but friendly. It’s the first job I’ve had where I actually am being the most inspired and creative that I can possibly be, enabled by amazing people and an amazing company. I’m so excited for my future there and have such a good feeling of settlement already. Besides, as we all know, last year was trial and error.  I’ve been stressed because of all the changes but this is my year I’m tellin...

Blogmas: Christmas Markets in the South

Having worked on a Christmas Market, it’s a dream. If you’re not feeling Christmassy yet- you sure as hell will be by the time you’ve walked round one of these. The smells of the food stalls and dried fruits and spices decorations as well as the Christmas carols on repeat- it’s hard to resist.

Christmas Markets are the holy grail of Europe during the festive season, and although I can bet the ones in Brussels, Paris and Bruges are much more extravagant… the ones in the south of England aren’t all that bad. Call me the market obsessive but I love them, they’re perfect for catching up with friends before Christmas and they’re a great opportunity to support local businesses and handmade crafts which have no doubt taken hours to make. To give a present or a decoration knowing nobody else will have the same is a special and unique gift in itself.

So far, I have visited Winchester, Salisbury, Bath and Devizes Christmas markets but here are when you can catch an opportunity:

Bath- until December 9
London- until January
Exeter- until December 16
Cirencester- until December 16
Canterbury- until December 24

I have never been to London’s Winter Wonderland but if you fancy doing something this weekend or after work which can be as spenny as you like, having a wonder around your most local stalls, practising on the ice rinks or taking a spin on the rides is perfect for couples, families and individually or in groups.
