2019, You're Late

Firstly… I hope you’ve all had a glorious Christmas and a very merry New Year. Alex and I spent our new year’s drunk in the queue of Oceana after he had just been sick in my mates sink. Think of that how you will. But it was one of the best new years yet (As well as last year). I’ve been a bit MIA (missing in action) and I’m fully aware. But it’s probably true that so far this year I’ve had the best highlights and the worst low points of my year so far. I’ve started my new job and it’s the best decision I’ve made since I graduated, I L O V E  IT and everybody has been nothing but friendly. It’s the first job I’ve had where I actually am being the most inspired and creative that I can possibly be, enabled by amazing people and an amazing company. I’m so excited for my future there and have such a good feeling of settlement already. Besides, as we all know, last year was trial and error.  I’ve been stressed because of all the changes but this is my year I’m tellin...

Blogmas: My Christmas Wrap

Some people love it and some people hate it. A guilty pleasure of mine is gift wrapping, there is something so satisfying from folding the paper and making something look beautiful as well as intriguing. When I used to work on the Winchester Christmas Market selling and gift-wrapping candles I was in my element.

The truth is there is no secret to wrapping, unless you’re my Dad and his secret is picking a present if the shop will gift wrap it- or getting me to do it last minute on Christmas Eve.

There are such a variety of ways to wrap presents during Christmas, shops like Paperchase, WH Smiths and individual shops host the most varied amount of stock now and with a little help from Pinterest or Instagram the inspiration can be endless.

If you’re a pretty paper magpie, an avoid the task fan or like myself enjoy simple papers with trinkets and ribbons... wrapping presents can be totally up to you. I think it is so easy to make the most basic of shapes look exciting and depending on the receiver it can be a joy to do.

So, if you’re anything like me and enjoy wrapping presents until late into the evening, stick a Christmas film on or some classic sing alongs and pop open a tin of Roses to get fully into the spirit.
